Remmittance Registration

 

Only Registered Customers are able to send Money Overseas (International Remmittances). Registration requires verifying your ID and is a one time Process.

Registration Methods

  1. In Person at the State Bank of India Branch, Sydney
  2. Certified by an Prescribed (Authorised) Person
  3. At Australia Post

1. In Person at the State Bank of India Branch, Sydney

Documents you will need to bring:

You will be required to visit the State Bank of India, Sydney Branch at Level 12, 234 George Street, Sydney with the Documents given below:

  1. Fully filled ID Verificaiton (Registration) Form. The Form can be downloaded here.
  2. Your Identity Documents (see below)

Identity Documents

You MUST present ONE original Document from the Primary Document List.

Australian Driver Licence or Learner Permit (current)
Australian Passport (current or expired within the last 2years)
Overseas Passport (government or UN issued) and either in English or accompanied by an accredited translation (current)
Proof of Age Card/NSW Photo Card (current and government issued)
Centrelink Pension Card (current)
Australian Birth Certificate or official birth extract
Australian Citizenship Certificate

Does your Primary Documentcontain a photo, date of birth AND your current residential address? If YES no other documents required. IF NO You must also supply one original Secondary Document that contains your current residential address.

Utility Bill or Council Rates Notice (less than 3 months old)
Taxation Notice or Centrelink Statement (less than 12 months old)
Under 18’s letter from a School Principal (less than 3 months old)

 

2. Certified by a Prescribed Person

You are required to certify your Identity Documents as 'True Copies' by a Prescribed Person (see below). You will also be required to Fill the ID Verificaiton (Registration) Form and have the Form witnessed by the Prescribed Person.

Who is a Prescribed Person?

A Prescribed Person is a person listed in Schedule 2 of the Statutory Declarations Regulations 1993 and includes a police officer;solicitor;justice of the peace; notary public; doctor;dentist; full time teacher and pharmacist. Also includes a bank officer or Australia Post employee with 2 or more continuous years of service with the relevant organisation.

What Identity Documents are to be Certified?

After the Authorised Person witnesses the ID verfication Form and the certifies the copies of the ID documents, please send all of the certified documents by Post to :

3. At Australia Post

ID Verificaiton can also be done at any Australia Post branches throughout Australia, free of charge. Arrangements have been made at over 3300 Australia Post outlets to do the verification. Click here to search for the nearest Australia Post Outlet.

2. Duly Fill the Australia Post ID Verification Form and present it with your Identification Documents at the Australia Post Branch.
